Containment & Controlled Material Removal
Plastic containment and floor protection were installed around designated work areas before demolition proceeded. Affected drywall, insulation, flooring and other non-salvageable materials were selectively removed, while portions of the kitchen cabinetry were detached as needed to provide access to concealed wall and structural areas.
HEPA Cleaning & Surface Treatment
Following material removal, HEPA vacuuming and detailed cleaning procedures were performed on designated exposed structural materials. Antimicrobial treatment was applied where specified, with additional surface preparation performed as needed to address conditions revealed during demolition and remediation.
Commercial Structural Drying
Commercial air movers and dehumidifiers were deployed throughout affected areas to promote evaporation and remove moisture from the indoor environment. HEPA-filtered air scrubbers supported environmental control while drying equipment remained in operation across the kitchen, basement, and other designated work areas.
Moisture Monitoring & Equipment Adjustment
Technicians continued collecting material moisture and atmospheric readings as structural drying progressed. The completed mitigation also addressed materials that could not remain in place while allowing accessible structural components to be cleaned, treated, and dried. Commercial air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA air filtration, and moisture-monitoring equipment supported the multi-day drying process as conditions changed throughout the affected areas.
